## Key points

- Fleetwood welcome Arsenal to their 5,300-capacity ground.
- The tie is the club’s biggest football attendance.
- Fleetwood are 18th in League Two after defeat at Exeter.

## Summary

Fleetwood Town host Arsenal in the Carabao Cup fourth round, bringing the Premier League champions to the League Two club’s compact Highbury Stadium. The tie offers Fleetwood a rare high-profile occasion and a chance to build local support, though the hosts expect the weather and their opponents to make for a difficult night.

The ground holds 5,300 and has only four parking spaces; Fleetwood have sold around 200 additional season tickets since the draw. They beat Sheffield United in the previous round, while a defeat at Exeter left them 18th in League Two. The article also traces the club’s rise from non-league football, its academy and overseas ventures, and the legacy of former owner Andrew Pilley, jailed for fraud.
