- The FBI says it found film negatives in two Los Angeles storage units.
- The investigation followed the discovery of images in a unit near his Mexican home.

## Summary

An FBI complaint alleges that Thomas Markle possessed child sexual abuse images, including film negatives found in two storage units in Los Angeles. Markle, 82, was arrested in Florida on Friday and charged with possession of child pornography; the case matters because investigators say the material was found across multiple storage sites.

The investigation began after images were discovered in a storage unit near Markle’s home in Mexico and the information was passed to the FBI. Agents then identified two further units he had rented in Los Angeles, where he lived before moving to Mexico in 2011. Markle denied being a paedophile when asked by the newspaper.
