Security guards at Yankee Stadium quickly overpowered three fans who ran onto the field during Wednesday's game between the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners, in a sequence of tackles that drew widespread attention. The incident occurred during a pitching change and briefly halted proceedings before play resumed and the guards escorted the intruders away.

One fan was chased down the warning track and brought down with a tackle, a shirtless fan was suplexed to the ground by another guard, and a third required two guards to restrain and handcuff him. Additional security staff were sent onto the field to help clear the intruders. The Yankees went on to beat the Mariners 10-5, completing a second consecutive comeback win after trailing by three runs early on, with centre fielder Trent Grisham hitting two home runs and driving in four runs. The result extended Seattle's losing streak to six games, and New York will look to complete a series sweep on Thursday.
