## Summary

The Toronto International Film Festival has confirmed its 2026 programme, headlined by Alex Gibney's four-hour documentary on Elon Musk, a project the billionaire has already criticised ahead of release. The wider slate spans 21 documentary titles, including profiles of footballer Megan Rapinoe, singer Darlene Love and postcolonial theorist Edward Said, alongside newly confirmed Centrepiece and Short Cuts selections that broaden the festival's international and short-film offerings.

Among the additions is Karthik Subbaraj's tenth feature, "Dorothy", a Tamil-language period drama set in 1990s rural India that explores themes of friendship and compassion, which will screen as part of the Centrepiece programme. The festival also unveiled its Short Cuts line-up, drawing further notable talent to the short-film strand, rounding out a programme that mixes high-profile documentary subjects with a strong international and short-form presence.
