## Summary

Tinashe urged her fans to vote in the 2026 US midterm elections, then told Republican fans who objected to her use of blue hearts to leave her audience. The exchange drew further criticism from one fan, but Tinashe replied that she did not care, making clear she would not soften her political stance to retain those listeners.

The article says Democrats had flipped several seats and were set to control Congress from January, with 54 Senate seats and 237 House seats at the time of writing. Tinashe has previously criticised Donald Trump, joined a Black Lives Matter protest and voiced support for the LGBTQ+ community. Her album *POPSTAR*, released in September, reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200, her first top 10 album there.
