Title Fight Reunite (For Acoustic Wedding Performance)

Stereogum · 2 hours ago

Title Fight, the acclaimed Pennsylvania post-hardcore band who have not played publicly since 2018 and never formally broke up, quietly staged a partial reunion at a private wedding. The gathering matters to fans because the band have long resisted mounting calls to reform, and their reputation has only grown during their absence, with strong streaming numbers and other acts covering their material to enthusiastic responses.

The occasion was the wedding of drummer Ben Russin, now of Citizen. Three of the four members — Ned Russin, Shane Moran and Jamie Rhoden — performed a brief acoustic set for friends and family, covering "Requiem", an unreleased song by Walter Schreifels, who produced the band's debut album Shed. Ben and Ned's older brother Alex, of the band Cold World, also played, joining Rhoden for an acoustic cover of Oasis's "Slide Away". Short clips of the performances circulated online and quickly went viral among fans.
