British actor Tom Holland has spoken about his role as Telemachus in Christopher Nolan's new epic The Odyssey, describing it as the start of "a new chapter" in his life and possibly his "last chance to play a boy". Best known for Spider-Man, the 30-year-old plays the son of Odysseus in his first collaboration with the acclaimed director, who has praised him as "one of the great actors of his generation".

The film features a star-studded cast, including Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope and Holland's wife Zendaya as the goddess Athena, though the couple never appear on screen together. Holland reflected on themes of masculinity raised by the story, learnt swordfighting for the role, and described the pressure and thrill of working with Nolan, whose previous film Oppenheimer won seven Oscars. Hathaway, recently announced as pregnant, discussed translating modern ideas of motherhood to an ancient Greek setting.
