Tom Holland Says He’ll Play Spider-Man “For as Long as They’ll Have Me” After ‘Brand New Day’: “If This Movie Does Good, I Guess We’ll See!”

Tom Holland has said he plans to keep playing Spider-Man "for as long as they'll have me," speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of his fourth outing as the character, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." The comments suggest the franchise, a decade-long collaboration between Marvel and Sony, is far from finished, with Holland describing an enduring bond with the film-making team and continued enthusiasm for playing Peter Parker.

The new film, set four years after "Spider-Man: No Way Home," follows Parker secretly protecting New York while his powers undergo a dangerous transformation, and is expected to be a major box-office draw following the success of "The Odyssey," which also starred Holland and Zendaya. Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman revealed he agreed to delay the Spider-Man production so Holland could film "The Odyssey" first, believing the close release of both films would benefit each other. Director Destin Daniel Cretton also praised Holland's work ethic on set, noting he arrived energised after working with Christopher Nolan on the earlier project.
