Tom Holland Thought Christopher Nolan Didn’t Like His ‘The Odyssey’ Performance On First Day: “I Thought I Was Totally Sh*tting The Bed”
Tom Holland explained that his debut experience with IMAX camera technology on Christopher Nolan's upcoming classical epic initially caused confusion. When filming repeatedly halted every three minutes, Holland assumed the director was unsatisfied with his performance until a crew member clarified that the technical limitation was simply how long the IMAX film magazines could run.
The production marks a milestone as the first feature film shot entirely using IMAX cameras. Nolan has progressively incorporated IMAX sequences across his recent major films, and expressed optimism that other filmmakers may adopt the format for future projects. The adaptation of Homer's Odyssey features an ensemble cast including Matt Damon as the titular hero and Anne Hathaway as Penelope.
