Holland told Meyers he had informed Sony's marketing team he was ready to host, only to be reminded that SNL does not air over summer. He had previously discussed his fears in more detail on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast in June 2026, describing himself as "heavily dyslexic" and prone to freezing when reading aloud, despite having no trouble reading silently. Meyers, echoing Poehler's encouragement, introduced Holland to the show's cue card handler in a bid to reassure him ahead of any future hosting stint.
