## Key points

- Selleck is open to returning to the Blue Bloods universe.
- Wahlberg says the episode would need to feel special.
- Will Estes is set to appear as Jamie Reagan in Boston Blue.

## Summary

Tom Selleck says he is open to returning to the Blue Bloods universe, but Donnie Wahlberg says any appearance would need to be in a particularly thoughtful and special episode. The condition reflects Selleck’s seriousness about Frank Reagan and the series’ legacy, and leaves the door open to a reunion on Boston Blue.

Selleck played New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan across all 14 seasons of Blue Bloods, which ended in December 2024. Boston Blue follows Danny Reagan, played by Wahlberg, after he moves to Boston; its second season includes other Blue Bloods reunions, including Will Estes as Jamie Reagan in an episode scheduled for 6 November 2026.
