## Key points

- Black Sabbath plans to remix *Born Again*.
- The original tapes were found in a record company archive.
- Iommi says the album’s mix became muffly after studio work.

## Summary

Tony Iommi says Black Sabbath still plans to remix *Born Again*, the band’s 1983 album with Ian Gillan. The original mix had production problems, and a new version could offer listeners a clearer presentation of the songs.

The tapes were missing for years before being found in a record company archive and transferred, leaving them ready for work to begin. Iommi says the album sounded good in the studio but became “muffly” later in the process; he also recognises that some fans have grown attached to its original sound.
