Live Nation confirmed it is assessing the damage but said no one was injured. The storm also caused widespread disruption across the city, leaving thousands of residents without power and dealing with flooded basements.

The 50,000-capacity stadium's North seating area bore the brunt of the damage, with rows of seats torn from their fixings, twisted and flipped over, along with damaged fencing and fractured bleacher scaffolding. Portable toilets at the venue were destroyed, scattering plastic debris across the field and surrounding area. The storm, described as a "100-year" event, dumped nearly five inches of rain in parts of the city and downed power lines and trees. Rogers Stadium hosted a string of major acts this summer including Post Malone, Foo Fighters, Guns N' Roses and BTS, but neither Live Nation Canada nor AC/DC's representatives had confirmed whether the upcoming show would go ahead.
