Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a loan deal for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, with an obligation to sign him permanently for £60m next summer. The 27-year-old Egypt international becomes the second player to move from City to Spurs this week, following Brazilian winger Savio's £75m transfer on Tuesday, as part of a lavish summer spending spree at the north London club.

Marmoush joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59m last January but struggled for regular game time behind Erling Haaland, starting only eight Premier League games last season and appearing as a substitute or unused sub in City's opening matches this campaign. He scored 16 goals in 62 appearances for City overall, and his versatility across the front line—having played centrally, from the left and just behind the striker—is seen as a good fit for Spurs boss Roberto de Zerbi's system. Tottenham have now spent more than £312m this summer, also adding Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali and Jan Paul van Hecke, alongside free transfers Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka.
