Tracy Oliver and Issa Rae have co-created Open, an hour-long drama about a married Houston couple whose decision to open their relationship disrupts their wider friendship group. The project has attracted seven offers after being taken to buyers, signalling strong interest in a collaboration between two prominent television creators.

Paramount Television Studios is producing the potential series under Rae’s first-look agreement, with Oliver attached as showrunner. The drama will explore ensuing affairs, hidden secrets and relationship tensions; Oliver, Rae and Jax Clark will executive produce alongside Brian Dobbins, David Becky and Jonathan Berry.
