## Summary

Tilda Swinton will reprise the role that began her stage career in a New York revival of *Man to Man*, marking her Off-Broadway debut. The return brings her back to a character she has revisited for decades and to a play about identity and survival.

In Manfred Karge’s drama, set in 1930s Nazi Germany, a widow adopts her late husband Max’s identity and job, sustaining the disguise for decades. Swinton first performed the one-person play at Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre in 1987, appeared in a 1992 film adaptation and has since returned to the role on stage; the New York production is due to open in February.
