Travis Barker has spoken about reaching “rock bottom” and experiencing dark thoughts after surviving the 2008 plane crash that killed four people, including two close friends. Discussing his forthcoming Hulu documentary, he said treatment for post-traumatic stress and reducing stress and toxic influences helped him cope with survivor’s guilt.
The crash occurred after a South Carolina show on 19 September 2008, when the private jet carrying Barker and DJ AM burst into flames during take-off. Barker suffered burns to 65% of his body and has undergone 27 surgeries; DJ AM died from an apparent overdose a year later. The documentary, *Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear*, is due to debut on Hulu on 16 August.
