Travis Barker said he and Kourtney Kardashian chose to discuss their miscarriage experience in the Hulu documentary *Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear* because it could help others feel less alone. He said their experiences of miscarriages, IVF and eventually conceiving naturally were relatable to many people, while the documentary’s interview format allowed the subject to emerge privately and in depth.

The film, due for release on 16 August, follows Barker’s rise with Blink-182 and difficult periods in his life, including the 2008 plane crash that killed two close friends and seriously injured him. Barker and Kardashian married in 2022 and had their son, Rocky Thirteen, in 2023; the documentary also features figures including Questlove, Taylor Hawkins, Tommy Lee, Tim Armstrong, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge.
