Travis Scott has revealed he arrived on the set of Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" at 5am every day so he could shadow the director and cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema and learn the filmmaking process. The rapper played a small role as the bard Phemius in the blockbuster, with Nolan previously explaining he cast Scott to draw a parallel between the story's oral poetry tradition and rap music. The anecdote offers a glimpse into the collaborative, immersive atmosphere Nolan reportedly fostered on set, with cast members choosing to observe filming rather than retreat to their trailers.

Speaking to Variety, Scott described being "under the hood" studying the camera work and recalled Nolan's advice to "always see the vision through" and "never go short on the vision." He noted that the whole cast shared his enthusiasm, with nobody sticking to their trailers between takes. "The Odyssey" has since gone on to achieve the biggest opening of the year for a live-action film and the highest Rotten Tomatoes scores of Nolan's career, scoring 94 per cent with critics and 97 per cent with audiences.
