- He claims owners blocked potential deals.
- His MLB suspension was reduced to 184 games.

## Summary

Trevor Bauer says several Major League Baseball teams wanted to sign him, including playoff contenders, but team owners or league pressure prevented them. His claims renew debate over his absence from the majors and the influence of his past conduct and allegations on teams’ decisions.

The 2020 National League Cy Young winner has not pitched in MLB since 2021. He received a 324-game suspension under the league’s domestic violence and sexual assault policy, later reduced to 184 games; he has denied wrongdoing and settled a case with one accuser. Bauer played in independent baseball and Mexico during 2026 and is now playing in the Dominican Republic, while saying he would play in MLB for free.
