Tribeca Films has acquired three films by first-time feature directors: Rachel Dratch comedy Loves Company, holiday romantic comedy A Very Merry Breakup and Miriam Shor drama Magic Hour. The deals add to the distributor’s 2026 release slate and give each independently made film a route to wider distribution.

Loves Company follows a lonely woman whose favourite celebrity crashes into Florida swamps near her home, while A Very Merry Breakup centres on a serial dater trying to change her relationship habits. Magic Hour stars Shor as a filmmaker returning secretly to film school; it has won 18 audience and jury awards across 23 festivals. A Very Merry Breakup won Newport Beach Film Festival’s 2025 audience award for best comedy feature, and Loves Company premiered at the 2026 Dances With Films Festival.
