Trouble In Paradise: John Ross Bowie & Brian Posehn On Who Ruined Utopia In ‘Stuart Fails’ E5
In the fifth episode of HBO Max's "Big Bang Theory" spinoff "Stuart Fails To Save the Universe," stars John Ross Bowie and Brian Posehn discuss how their characters, Barry Kripke and Bert, inadvertently destroy a peaceful tribal utopia the show's four inter-dimensional travellers stumble upon. The episode sees Kripke introduce concepts of ownership and free markets to a commune that previously shared everything, sparking conflict among its members, while Posehn's Bert simultaneously disrupts their communal relationships by introducing monogamy.
Speaking to Deadline, Posehn noted that co-creator Chuck Lorre had pointed out Bert's role in the chaos, while Bowie acknowledged that although the pair have jokingly blamed Kripke for the downfall, Bert bears some responsibility too. Bowie praised the episode as packed with jokes and highlighted the guest cast, while Posehn reflected on Bert's evolving storyline across the series' first five episodes, from turning commando to gaining magical powers and now a girlfriend. The show, created by Lorre alongside Bill Prady and Zak Penn, has already been renewed for a second season.
