## Key points

- President Trump was audibly booed by spectators at the 2026 World Cup Final when shown during the broadcast and again while presenting medals on the field
- The incident follows a pattern of mixed receptions at major sporting events during his presidency, including the NBA Finals and Super Bowl

## Summary

During the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final in Spain's 1-0 victory over Argentina, President Trump received audible disapproval from the stadium crowd both when Fox broadcast a shot of him in his presidential box and when he appeared on the field afterward to present medals to the teams. Fox News cut away from the initial shot within seconds, though the crowd's boos remained audible in subsequent broadcast segments and were more pronounced in ambient video recordings.

The reception reflects a recurring pattern at major sporting events, with Trump having experienced similar boos at recent NBA Finals and a Super Bowl appearance. The notable shift in crowd sentiment occurred immediately after enthusiastic applause for Jennifer Hudson's rendition of the national anthem, creating a stark contrast captured across multiple broadcast sources.
