## Key points

- Trump criticised Habba’s reported $50 million legal role.
- He reportedly wants some of her pay donated to a Trump-linked entity.
- Habba’s contract was for four years with Concord Partners.

## Summary

Newly added details centre on Trump’s reported demand that Alina Habba give some of her pay from a $50 million contract to his presidential library or another Trump-related organisation. Trump also said he thought the deal was “totally obnoxious and outrageous”, while reportedly telling an ally the Herrera family should not pay the remaining contract sum.

Habba signed a four-year agreement to become general counsel of Concord Partners, a company started by the daughter of Venezuelan billionaire Julio Herrera Velutini, and began work on 1 January. The article says Velutini faced bribery charges linked to a campaign finance violation and received a pardon in January 2026. It also recounts Habba’s recent marriage to Turkish billionaire Turhan Mildon and a dispute over his reported $5.6 million donation to the Kennedy Center.
