Trump’s decade of assassination threats runs from Butler shooting to latest golf club breach

Fox News · 2 hours ago

President Donald Trump's decade in national politics has been repeatedly marked by assassination attempts, armed stalkers and thwarted plots, according to Fox News. The latest incident saw an armed Californian man, named as Jeanine John Taele, arrested near Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, underscoring persistent security concerns surrounding the president and other high-profile political figures.

Investigators recovered an illegally modified AR-platform rifle and body armour from the scene, according to a retired FBI special agent who analysed the items found. The arrest comes roughly two years after Trump survived a sniper's bullet at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, one of several serious security breaches to have targeted him since he first rose to national political prominence in 2016. The FBI has also raided the home of the alleged would-be assassin following the golf course incident.
