## Key points

- The Traitors’ first civilian season has moved to NBC.
- It drew more than 7 million new cross-platform viewers in two weeks.
- Broadcast episodes are shorter than the Peacock versions.

## Summary

NBC has moved The Traitors from Peacock to broadcast television for its first all-civilian season, changing the show’s pace while keeping its Scottish setting, host Alan Cumming and deception-based gameplay. The shift appears to be reaching a wider audience: the first two weeks brought more than 7 million new viewers to the franchise across platforms.

NBC episodes run about 44 minutes, compared with roughly 60 minutes on Peacock. The article says the first five broadcast episodes totalled about 3 hours and 29 minutes, around 38% shorter than the streaming edits, which allowed more time for relationships and gameplay. The series has already been renewed for three more Peacock seasons, and the NBC audience could encourage further civilian editions.
