Two men have died during the 2026 Burning Man festival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, organisers have confirmed, marking the second consecutive year the event has been marred by fatalities. The first death occurred on 4 September, when a participant in his mid-50s suffered a medical emergency and was pronounced dead despite receiving emergency care on site. A second man, named as 60-year-old Craigh Mann, was found dead by fellow campers the following afternoon, though no cause of death has been given.

The festival, which concluded on 7 September, also saw another attendee seriously injured after falling from a 55-foot tower earlier in the week. These are the fourth and fifth deaths linked to Burning Man in the past four years, following the unresolved 2025 case of 37-year-old Vadim Kruglov, whose death is still being investigated by Pershing County Sheriff's Office as a murder with no arrests made. Organisers have offered condolences to the families and campmates of both men who died this year.
