Two police officers were injured in Grimsby after a vehicle believed to be stolen collided with a marked police car during a pursuit. A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has since been charged with a string of offences, including dangerous driving and taking a motor vehicle without consent, highlighting the risks officers face when responding to stolen vehicle reports.

The incident began after a car was reported stolen on Byron Grove in the Nunsthorpe area of Grimsby, Lincolnshire, on Wednesday. Police were called at around 1pm and a chase followed, during which the vehicle allegedly struck a police car, injuring two officers who were taken to hospital for treatment. The teenager faces multiple charges, including possession of class B and C drugs, driving without a licence or insurance, and aggravated vehicle taking, and has been remanded into secure accommodation ahead of a future court appearance.
