Tyler Perry’s ‘Divorced Sistas’ & ‘Zatima’ Among 4 Former BET+ Series Renewed By Paramount+
Paramount+ has renewed four former BET+ original dramas after absorbing the service and moving its programmes to the larger streaming platform. Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas and Zatima will return alongside Carl Weber’s The Black Hamptons and The Family Business, signalling that Paramount+ intends to maintain BET+’s volume of original programming following the integration.
Divorced Sistas has been commissioned for a 16-episode third season, while Zatima will receive a 16-episode sixth season; both are expected to be released in two instalments. The Family Business will return for a 10-episode seventh season and The Black Hamptons for a 10-episode third, despite the latter ending its previous season more than two and a half years ago. The renewals follow a sixth-season order for comedy Ms. Pat Show, and come after Paramount bought out Tyler Perry Studios’ stake in BET+.
