## Summary

Unranked UCF beat second-ranked, undefeated BYU 34-31 in double overtime in Orlando, handing the Cougars their first loss of the season. The result was the biggest win over a ranked opponent in Knights programme history and a major upset in a week when BYU had risen to No. 2.

BYU and UCF traded touchdowns and field goals through regulation, reaching 24-24 after a rain-soaked second half. A blocked UCF field-goal attempt and a late penalty helped send the game to overtime; after both teams scored in the first extra period, UCF converted a two-point attempt in the second. BYU then needed a score to keep its unbeaten season alive, but the Knights held on.
