He is invited to join Oasis on tour after the band’s guitarist leaves, but the sketch reveals Noel and Liam Gallagher to be Russian spies, satirising political division, Oasis’ ticket pricing and Burnham’s uncertainty over calling a general election.

George Fouracres played Burnham, with Celeste Dring as Angela Rayner and Jack Shep and Freddie Meredith as the Gallagher brothers. The sketch appeared in the third episode of SNL UK’s second season, hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg, with Meredith making his debut alongside the returning cast.
