## Key points

- Power disruptions interrupted water supplies across Kyiv.
- Metro services resumed with longer gaps between trains.
- 43 bodies recovered after an attack on Komyshuvakha.

## Summary

Kyiv’s water supply was disrupted on 5 November after power fluctuations linked to Russian attacks affected utility facilities. The incident highlights the vulnerability of essential services as renewed strikes hit Ukraine’s already damaged energy infrastructure ahead of winter.

Kyivvodokanal said outages interrupted water supplies across all districts, while Mayor Vitali Klitschko later reported that pressure was returning and service was being restored. Metro trains were also briefly suspended and then ran every nine minutes, rather than the usual three to five. The article also reports that 43 bodies had been recovered after a 2 November attack on Komyshuvakha, with 33 people still missing.
