## Key points

- Ground drones logged 31,398 missions in October.
- That is more than four times January’s total.
- Most missions support front-line logistics.

## Summary

Ukraine’s unmanned ground vehicles completed a record 31,398 missions in October, according to the Defence Ministry, marking their shift from experimental technology to an essential tool for front-line brigades. Their growing use matters because Russian first-person-view drones have made it much more dangerous for conventional vehicles to reach troops near the front.

The October total was more than four times January’s 7,511 missions and includes logistics and casualty evacuation. Most missions involve supplies, but the vehicles are also used for reconnaissance, strikes, mining and demining, and launching drones. Missions are recorded in Ukraine’s Delta system, earning units points they can use to buy equipment through the Brave1 Marketplace.
