## Key points

- Ulster lost 34-26 to the Bulls in Pretoria.
- Coetzee scored twice against his former club.
- Ulster remain winless after four league matches.

## Summary

Ulster’s winless start to the United Rugby Championship reached four matches after a 34-26 defeat by the Bulls in Pretoria. The result leaves them without a league win so far, despite a spirited recovery from an early 21-point deficit.

Former Ulster player Marcell Coetzee scored twice for the Bulls, who built their lead through a powerful forwards’ performance. Ulster’s four tries, including two from Chay Mullins, earned a try bonus, but Curwin Bosch’s final penalty denied them a losing bonus point. Ulster have two draws and two defeats in the league and next face the Stormers in South Africa on 31 October.
