Oakland indie-pop band Unity have announced their second album, Comes Back To You.. / Was There Ever Unity?, and released its lead single, “3 Weeks”. The announcement marks the group’s return a decade after their self-titled 2016 debut, with the new track presenting a lively, deliberately rough-edged sound that recalls DIY indie pop.

Unity are led by Jeffrey Cheung, the artist and zine maker behind Unity Skateboards, who previously played in Meat Market alongside at least one other band member. Cheung also directed the video for “3 Weeks”, which depicts sunny everyday scenes in Oakland; the album is due on 11 September via Smoking Room.
