New South Wales Police have launched an urgent appeal to find Joziah Maharaj, a 10-year-old boy who has been missing for almost two weeks. His disappearance is causing serious concern because of his age and an existing health condition, with officers asking the public to report any information that could help locate him.

Joziah was last seen at Minto Railway Station, around 50km south-west of Sydney, at 4pm on 14 August; police were notified on 22 August after he could not be contacted. Enquiries suggest he may be in Dundas Valley, and residents there and in nearby suburbs have received a text alert. He is described as of Māori or Pacific Islander appearance, slim, with black hair short at the front and long at the back.
