Noah Lyles won the men’s 100m at the US athletics championships in a world-leading 9.79 seconds, matching the personal best he set when winning Olympic gold in Paris in 2024. The performance reasserts his status as a leading sprinter despite 2026 having no Olympics or World Championships.

Lyles finished ahead of Ronnie Baker and Kenny Bednarek, who both recorded 9.88 seconds, while Christian Coleman was fourth in 9.93. Sha’Carri Richardson won the women’s 100m in 10.77, equalling her season’s best, ahead of Kayla White (10.90) and Tamari Davis (11.00).
