Valve Steam Frame videos show how to wear the headset, perfect the fit and sign in
Valve accidentally leaked eight instructional videos for its upcoming Steam Frame VR headset via an update to its ARM-based Steam Client, and rather than pull them, the company published some itself while others circulated online after being saved by users. The clips offer a detailed early look at the headset's design and setup process, including a notably quirky sign-in method, ahead of its planned launch this summer.
The videos cover unboxing, fit adjustment, the interpupillary distance wheel, wireless adapter use and various ergonomic accessories such as hand straps, a crown support strap and an extended light blocker. The headset uses magnetic attachments for its face gasket and eye spacer, with the charging port built into a battery pack on the rear head strap. Pricing was not revealed, though costs are expected to be high given an ongoing RAM shortage affecting the industry, with the Steam Frame featuring 16GB of RAM; for comparison, Valve's recently released Steam Machine starts at $1,049.
