Australian melodic metal veterans Vanishing Point have announced their seventh studio album, "Eremition", releasing on 20 November, following a six-year gap since their last record. This release is significant because the band have built a reputation over three decades for prioritising quality over commercial visibility, making each album a genuine event for their devoted international fanbase.

The album's lead single, "Bring Me The Night", features the band's characteristic heavy melodies and 1980s AOR influences, exploring themes of not allowing others' negativity to affect one's direction in life. Guitarist Chris Porcianko explained that "Eremition" examines loss, understanding and moving forward, whilst the band's extensive career has included touring across Europe, Japan and the USA, and sharing stages with major acts including Iron Maiden, Nightwish and Yngwie Malmsteen.
