The former board president of Central Little League in Las Vegas, Steve Rodriguez Prado, has been arrested and charged over allegations that he misappropriated tens of thousands of dollars of the league's funds for personal use, including strip clubs and erectile dysfunction medication. The case matters because it involves the alleged theft of money from a youth sports organisation, leaving league officials describing themselves as "devastated".

According to Las Vegas Justice Court records reported by 8 News Now, Prado was arrested on 2 July and charged with one count of theft, two counts of forgery, and one count of a convicted person failing to register with local law enforcement. The arrest report alleges he spent close to $65,000 on casinos, air travel, strip clubs, ride-shares, video games, car insurance and medication, and made more than 75 Zelle transfers totalling almost $64,000 to a business owned by his wife. Detectives cited a $1,351 strip club receipt with a $433 tip, roughly $294 on Blue Chew medication and nearly $2,000 on casino trips.
