Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Spider-Man: Brand New Day producer Amy Pascal have suggested a Venom and Spider-Man crossover remains possible, saying fans should "have hope" that Tom Holland's Peter Parker and Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock could eventually meet on screen. Speaking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the pair gave no firm commitment, but the comments keep alive years of speculation fuelled by post-credits teases in Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The matter is complicated by the divided rights arrangement between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, under which Sony retains Venom and other Spider-Man-related characters while lending Spider-Man himself to the MCU.

Pascal also confirmed Sony is developing a separate animated Venom film, directed by Final Destination: Bloodlines' Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, though it remains years from release; Hardy is reportedly attached. Feige separately addressed why "street-level" heroes such as Daredevil and Kingpin have yet to fully integrate into the MCU despite Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Jon Bernthal's Punisher appearing in Spider-Man projects, saying the holdup isn't rights issues but ongoing matters to "navigate" between the studios. Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in cinemas on 31 July, ahead of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, due on 18 June 2027.
