## Key points

- Jacob Charlton has released VICIOUS’s second track, ‘Capulet’.
- The song follows 2025’s ‘Opium’.
- VICIOUS gives him room to explore beyond Thornhill’s sound.

## Summary

Jacob Charlton, vocalist of Thornhill, has released ‘Capulet’ under his solo project VICIOUS. The track is the project’s second release, following 2025’s ‘Opium’, and introduces a more expansive alternative pop sound that sits alongside, but reaches beyond, Thornhill’s musical world.

‘Capulet’ pairs woozy synths and sultry beats with emotive refrains, drawing on modern pop and experimental R&B while placing Charlton’s voice at the centre. He describes VICIOUS as a way to create freely with close friends, outside genre boundaries, and says releasing the music has lifted a weight from his shoulders.
