Visual Effects Society Sets Its 2026 VES Honors Recipients

The Visual Effects Society (VES) has announced the recipients of its 2026 VES Honors, recognising individuals judged to have profoundly shaped the craft, technology and business of visual effects. The honours matter as one of the industry's principal means of celebrating career-long contributions and pioneering achievements, and the recipients will be feted at the annual VES Honors Celebration on 4 September at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

Susan Zwerman will receive the VES Founders Award and a Lifetime VES Membership, the latter shared with Jeff Kleiser. Sir William Sargent and Scott Stokdyk are to be named Honorary Members, while the 2026 VES Fellows are Neishaw Ali, Rita Cahill, Barbara Ford Grant and Susan Thurmond O'Neal. Jon Landau, Gerry Anderson, Ishiro Honda and Tomoyuki Tanaka are being inducted posthumously into the VES Hall of Fame. VES Board Chair Kim Davidson noted the honorees were submitted for consideration by VES members themselves.
