Wallace & Gromit Goes From Fan Creation to Official Lego Set In New Release

Polygon · 14 hours ago

Lego has released an official Wallace & Gromit set through its Lego Ideas programme, which turns winning fan-submitted designs into commercial products. The 1,038-piece set depicts the beloved claymation duo riding their motorbike and sidecar from the 1995 film Wallace & Gromit: A Close Shave, and is now available for pre-order on Lego's website ahead of shipping on 1 October 2026.

The set costs $99.99 and features poseable figures, including jointed arms for both characters and moveable ear flaps for Gromit, along with Easter eggs referencing the trilogy's other films. It stems from the grand prize entry in Lego's "'90s Throwback – The Next Chapter" competition, held in February 2025, whose creator receives 1% of net sales, ten free sets and official credit; runners-up in the contest included Mr Bean, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Forrest Gump and The Mighty Ducks themed concepts.
