Warner Bros. Discovery’s president of international, Gerhard Zeiler, will receive the 2026 International Emmy Directorate Award for his long-term contribution to international television. The award recognises leadership across media management, programming and international relations, highlighting Zeiler’s role in expanding global television businesses during significant industry change.

Zeiler will collect the award at the 54th International Emmy Awards Gala in New York on 23 November, alongside Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria, who will receive the Founders Award. Since joining Turner in 2012, Zeiler has led international expansion efforts and, since becoming Warner Bros. Discovery’s international president, helped extend HBO Max to more than 130 countries; he previously led RTL and held senior roles at Austria’s ORF.
