## Key points

- Perkins called Green a liability after his Suns ejection.
- Green hit back, citing his basketball intelligence.
- Green is averaging 3.2 points per game this season.

## Summary

Draymond Green responded sharply to Kendrick Perkins after the former NBA player and analyst called him a liability for the Golden State Warriors. Perkins criticised Green following his ejection against the Phoenix Suns, saying he needed to contribute on court rather than draw attention for fighting; Green argued that his basketball intelligence set him apart.

Green was ejected after receiving two technical fouls during a heated exchange with Suns guard Dillon Brooks, whose viral interaction with Green required others to separate them. The 36-year-old is averaging 3.2 points per game and has struggled offensively, while his defensive impact has declined; the article says his basketball IQ remains a strength.
