## Key points

- Sacha Baron Cohen staged an Ali G joke with Noel Gallagher.
- Ali G pretended Gallagher had taken his cinema seat.
- Oasis recently announced reunion dates for 2027.

## Summary

Sacha Baron Cohen brought Ali G to a screening of his new film and staged a comic confrontation with Noel Gallagher, pretending the Oasis musician had taken his seat. The encounter revives a joke between the two: Gallagher had criticised Ali G’s influence on children in 2015, while Cohen now teased him about Oasis and his return to music.

In a video posted on Instagram on 24 October, Ali G pulled Gallagher up from an A1 cinema seat and joked that he looked like “one of them Oasis twins”, before offering the audience mock-priced selfies and other services. Gallagher recently announced Oasis reunion dates for 2027, following the band’s 15-year split. Cohen’s film, *Ali G: Who Iz I?*, is a sequel to 2002’s *Ali G Indahouse*.
