Courteeners played a sold-out homecoming show to 30,000 fans at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester on 29 August 2026, a day after releasing their first "best of" compilation, "God Bless The Band". The gig continues the Mancunian band's tradition of staging ever-larger hometown concerts, and frontman Liam Fray told the crowd he never expected to play to an audience of that size, underlining how far the band has come since forming in the city.

The band were supported by The Vaccines, who played their 2011 debut album in full, along with The Coral, Getdown Services and Girl In The Year Above. Courteeners opened with "Sweet Surrender" and drew from all seven of their studio albums plus new track "Plus One Forever", with Fray also performing a solo acoustic segment and closing the encore with "What Took You So Long?". The show follows a string of major Manchester gigs, including Heaton Park in 2015, 2019 and 2023, and two 50,000-capacity Emirates Old Trafford shows, and precedes a six-date UK arena tour in November taking in Leeds, Cardiff, Liverpool, London's Alexandra Palace, Glasgow and Birmingham.
