Geese made their Reading Festival debut on 28 August, delivering one of the weekend’s most energetic crowds at The Gallery stage despite persistent rain. The New York band’s performance matters as it continues the momentum behind their acclaimed recent album ‘Getting Killed’ and their growing profile in the UK.
The group opened with ‘Husbands’ and played songs including ‘Half Real’, ‘2122’ and ‘Cobra’, before closing with ‘Trinidad’. Frontman Cameron Winter joked about water leaking into the tent, while the band performed against a montage of sporting highlights; they play Leeds Festival next, followed by two London Troxy headline shows on 1 and 2 September and End Of The Road on 3 September.

Geese are a rock band from New York, formed by school friends in Brooklyn. Their music combines guitar-led rock with shifting rhythms and unusual song structures, and is fronted by singer Cameron Winter.
The group have built a following through live shows and a series of well-received releases, including their recent album Getting Killed. They have increasingly played outside the United States, with festival appearances and headline dates helping introduce them to UK audiences.
