Fred again.. and the Mexican sibling trio LATIN MAFIA have begun livestreaming themselves creating a new collaborative mixtape on YouTube, pledging to keep broadcasting until the project is complete. The pair have reunited in Mexico City to finish music they have been developing intermittently over the past two years, with Fred describing their creative chemistry as feeling like one cohesive world despite not being deliberately planned that way.

The broadcast, titled "making a mixtape with latin mafia and staying here until we finish it", began at 1pm local time (8pm BST) on 28 July. Fred, who regularly collaborates with his own brother, highlighted the "family affair" nature of the project, noting both acts are managed by siblings. The announcement follows the release of a 35-minute film, Under The Fabric, documenting an improvised session the pair recorded last December beneath a Boris Acket art installation ahead of Fred's Mexico City show as part of his international 'USB002' run.
